It consists of the home, grounds and a cemetery of the Floyd family. Over the course of years, eight generations of Floyds have managed the room mansion and acre property.
Prior to the 20th century, the estate was much larger. William Floyd was the eldest child of a prosperous Long Island family of Welsh descent. His great grandfather, Richard Floyd had emigrated from Wales to Long Island in the 17th C.
